Everyone at Queen of the South was shocked this morning to hear of the death of Stranraer Chairman Shaun Niven at the age of 52. Shaun was well known in football circles, locally and nationally and was a familiar face at Palmerston when Stranraer visited. Most recently he was involved in the negotiations that saw a deal struck allowing Ruari Paton to sign for us in the summer. He will be missed.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends in particular, but also with everyone at Stranraer FC. Rest in peace.
