Match Preview: Inverness Caledonian Thistle

The team set off for the Highlands later today ahead of our Championship game away at Inverness Caledonian Thistle tomorrow.

It’s our first meeting of this campaign - honours were shared last season with two draws and a win apiece.  The first fixture at the same stage of the season last time around ended goal-less.  That was followed by another draw at Palmerston in November when Inverness fought back from three goals down to take a share of the points.

On our last visit to the Caledonian Stadium, Scott Mercer and Stephen Dobbie scored two goals in the final seven minutes of the match as we came from behind to win 2 – 1.  While John Robertson’s side secured a 2 – 0 victory the last time we faced each other.

The players are in confident mood after our 1 – 0 win over Morton last weekend.

Manager, Allan Johnston said "I was delighted for the players that they managed to get their first three points last week as they have put a lot into games in recent weeks with no rewards. It was important for us to get the win to kick-off our season and hopefully we can now build on that and move up to where we want to be in the table.

The players all worked really hard and while there were some great performances individually, collectively we gave a really good team performance so we must make sure we follow that up with another positive result against Inverness on Saturday.

Every game in this league is tough and this one will be no different”.

For supporters travelling to Inverness, Queens fans will be housed in the South Stand and should enter via turnstile seven.
