SLO Update

With this being our first update of 2018 we’d like to take the opportunity to wish all our fellow supporters a happy and healthy 2018!

You may have seen through our various social media pages that the Christmas bonus ball was won by Richie Nicoll who collected a cheque for £600, the winners of the signed shirts were Brenda Brolls, Finlay Currie, Lindsey Hansen and Alan Cowan.  Thanks again to everyone who took part and well done to all the winners!

Our charity of the week for this weekends game against Partick Thistle is Visibilty, a fantastic charity supporting children and adults who are either blind or partially sighted throughout Dumfries & Galloway and the west of Scotland.  You can visit www.visibilty.org.uk to see all the services they offer and any events that they may have coming up.

Although we have quite a few playlists in at the moment please feel free to send us your idea of what you'd like to hear over the speakers at Palmerston.

Over the last few weeks we have been asking people to suggest players for a second legends flag. We've had some great names put forward, the most popular will take their place on the flag, so look out for that in the not too distant future..

We are hosting a Meet the Manager night which will include a sports quiz on Saturday 17th March in the Tartan Lounge at Palmerston, tickets will be £5 and will include a half time pie & peas.  If it’s well attended we will  look at hosting  similar events throughout the season.  Make a note in your diary to come along for some chat with the manager, assistant manager and possibly some special guests.  Tickets will be available soon so keep an eye on social media and in the programme for more information.

Also don’t miss the opportunity to get your name on the Centenary Shirt, there is just over a week left.  The cost is only £5 and you can see any of the SLO committee, pop into the office or fill it out via the link on the Official Website.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity too good to miss!

On Saturday we start our journey in the Scottish Cup with a difficult but hopefully winnable tie against Premier League opposition in Partick Thistle, wouldn’t it be great to have another run in the cup on the 10th anniversary of one of our greatest days in history.  Let’s get behind the team and hopefully help us on to victory.

There are various ways to contact us with your suggestions or any issues to have that you feel we may be able to help with:  Through the link on the Official Website, Facebook, Twitter, Email or c/o the club office where we will collect any mail.

Thanks for all your support so far, Iain, Nathan, Ross & Simon…. Mon the South!
