Dunfermline Match Preview

This weekend we head to East End Park to face Dunfermline in the Championship.  Both sides failed to find the net when we played each other at Palmerston in October.

Queens boss, Gary Naysmith looks ahead to this weekend's fixture.

"A draw against Inverness Caledonian Thistle last weekend was a fair result in my opinion. I think we marginally edged it in terms of chances but over the piece they probably deserved to take a point. What did make me happy though was that we got back to defending well again. It was our tenth clean sheet of the season so far and defending is something we have worked on as a team in training to make sure that we improved on last seasons clean sheet total.

Dunfermline will be disappointed with their defeat at Tannadice last week, so we know they'll be looking to get back on track, especially in front of their own fans.

We've been sitting around the play-off places for much of the season now and as we head towards the end of the calendar year, we want to try to pick up points in every game we play in to keep ourselves in the mix.  We go into this game knowing that a win would take us above Dunfermline in the table.  There is no bigger incentive for the players.

The forecast for the weekend isn't great with high winds and snow expected but hopefully it won't play a part in the game.

We are still without Callum Fordyce and Dan Carmichael who both have hamstring injuries.  Both are progressing well , but if we can get Callum or Dan back by the end of the year it will be a bonus. Connor Murray has returned to training and will be back in the squad".

Saturday's game at East End Park kicks off at 3pm.
