Match Preview - Dunfermline 14th October

Apologies for bringing this to you a little later than usual, but here are Gary Naysmiths thoughts ahead of todays home game with Dunfermline

Last week was all about getting through to the next stage of the competition and we now have a quarter final to look forward to, albeit another long journey!  We didn't start well against Montrose and at half time I challenged the lads to give me a response, which I’m pleased to say they did. The players know themselves that the first half was nowhere near good enough, they had some harsh words for each other and I’m sure it’s something they’ve learned from and we move on.

The games never get any easier in this league and this weekend will be another tough test for us. Dunfermline have had a terrific start to the season and they'll want to bounce back after losing to Falkirk last weekend.  They are a good attacking side and like ourselves have scored a few goals already this season, so it should be an exciting and entertaining game.

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve been at home so we are all looking forward to being back at Palmerston.  It’s also the final game of the quarter so we want to finish the first round of fixtures with a win.

After missing last week, Jason Kerr and Derek Lyle return to the squad but we are still missing Dan Carmichael.
