It was team William that came out on top in the “Carvel Derby” at Petershill in Glasgow as our under 17s lost their CAS League game at Partick Thistle. With twins Jamie and William Carvel going head-to-head, Jamie playing for ourselves and William for Partick, we were team Jamie but it was the hosts who ran out four-nil winners.

Partick are a strong side who have been performing well in the league. Thistle started on top and although Queens had chances, the hosts held a two-goal advantage at the break. And just four minutes after the restart they added a third.  It was a tough night for the boys and Thistle went on to add a fourth and round off the scoring.

A reminder that there is football at Palmerston on Tuesday night as the under 19s are back in action when they host Ayr United in the league. The game at Palmerston will kick-off at 7.30pm.
