Match Preview v East Kilbride (A) - 1st Aug 26

Jul 31 2026 11:41

We begin our league one campaign tomorrow with a tough trip to East Kilbride. The hosts are new to the division and will be full of confidence after winning promotion last season.

Like ourselves The Kilby have been involved in Premier Sports League Cup matches up until now. With two wins and two defeats, they finished third in Group C behind St Mirren and Dunfermline.

Looking ahead to the game, manager Nicky Clark said “They're a really good side. I went and watched them in the cup and they were excellent, for an hour, they were really good. They keep the ball, they pass the ball about a lot and they're really aggressive on the press, so it’s going to be a really hard game, but it will be an exciting game to play in and it's a game we’re looking forward to. Unfortunately, our League Cup campaign is over, but the League is ultimately the main objective. So, it's really important that we get a really good start and we kick on from there.”
