As he continues to build his squad Nicky Clark is delighted to have secured Caleb Goldie on a one-year deal.
The 21-year-old defender has featured throughout pre-season and played as a trialist against Kelty Hearts in our opening fixture of the Premier Sports league cup at the weekend.
Caleb started his career with Celtic youth side and progressed through to the under 18s at Celtic Park. That was followed by a move to Peterhead in 2023 during which time he had a loan spell at Stirling Albion before returning to Balmoor where he was until he left at the end of last season.
The manager said “We have worked with Caleb throughout pre-season and he has shown up well in training and in those games. He was well thought of at Peterhead where he was a big character and a resilient defender. He is young but has plenty of potential and we are pleased to have added him to the squad.”
Caleb himself said “I’m delighted to have finally signed. I enjoyed my time at Peterhead but wanted to pursue opportunities closer to home. Queens are a big club with good facilities and fan base. Having been in for a few weeks now, I can see what the club are about and I’m looking forward to developing my career here at Palmerston.”
