We continue our push for promotion tomorrow when we welcome Stenhousemuir to Palmerston for the first of our play-off matches. The semi-final line-up was decided at the weekend after we beat Alloa to finish third, while the Warriors missed out on the title finishing two points behind champions Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Three of the four games between the sides this season have ended in draws. The first two games of the season between the sides ending all square, a goal-less draw at Ochilview in August was followed by a one-all draw at Palmerston in November, when the visitors scored late to take a share of the points. Back at Ochilview in January it was Stenhousemuir who secured the three points with a two-nil win on their own patch in our first game of 2026. While in March there was again nothing between the teams and the game ended in a one all draw.
Ahead of the match, Manager Peter Murphy said “It’s been really tight against Stenhousemuir all season. They've done exceptionally well and pushed it to the last day and did what they needed to do but Inverness went one better. So, we know it's going to be a really difficult game, but we know what we have to do and we will be prepared as well as we can be. The hard work starts now.”
