Match Preview v Dunfermline - Take 2 (16th Dec 25)

Dec 15 2025 13:01

After storm Bram led to the late call off of our cup game last Tuesday, we are back at Palmerston tomorrow for the re-scheduled tie against Dunfermline in the last 32 of the KDM Evolution Trophy.

The two sides faced each other in the Scottish Cup at the end of last month with the Championship side progressing through to the fourth round with a two-one victory at East End Park. We go into this game on the back of a good win over Alloa that moved us back into the top four in league one. Our opponents currently sit fifth in the league above just outside the play-off places after a one all draw at Queens Park.

Ahead of the match, Manager Peter Murphy said “It was a good all-round performance from the team on Saturday at Alloa and more like what we are looking for. We worked for each other, we were good going forward and kept a clean sheet, something that we need to be doing consistently. The games are coming thick and fast so we need to manage the squad. It was the correct decision to call the game off last week, but hopefully we get it played this time around. We know how good a side Dunfermline are and what we can expect from them. It is a lucrative competition for clubs who can progress so both teams will be going out for a win which should make for an entertaining game.”
