Working Together With The Young Team

Nov 5 2025 16:13

Due to the rise in incidents involving pyrotechnics within Scottish football, we have taken steps to try to combat the issue at the club.

We have previously highlighted that not only is it illegal to be in possession of pyros but they carry a serious risk to the health and safety of supporters and staff.

Therefore in conjunction with the SPFL Trust and Police Scotland we ran a pilot course for 12 of our young supporters to outline the dangers of pyrotechnics and see if together we could come up with safe ways to create an atmosphere at games without involving dangerous objects.

CEO, Dan Armstrong said “Younger supporters are the future of the club so it’s important that we continue to actively work with our young team to encourage them along to Palmerston and for them to create a positive and safe atmosphere for everyone.  The course was a successful and worthwhile exercise and the kids who took part enjoyed it and had some great ideas.”
