Match Preview v Peterhead - 18th October

Oct 17 2025 12:34

Tomorrow, as we get the second quarter of our league one campaign underway, we head north to face Peterhead.

It is the first meeting of the two sides at the Balmoor Stadium this season, having played each other at Palmerston in the first round of fixtures. We claimed all three points back in August with a 4-0 win. Kurtis Guthrie opened the scoring to give us a half-time lead before Benji Luissint, Kai Kennedy and Taylor Charters all found the net in the second half.

Both sides currently sit on 13 points but we are one place better off on goal-difference.

Ahead of the game, manager Peter Murphy said “We weren’t happy with the way the first quarter of the season went so we are looking for improvement, starting at Peterhead tomorrow. We had a comfortable win the last time we faced each other, but there wasn’t much in it for the opening half hour. There isn’t much separating us in the league either, so we can expect a tight game. It’s going to be an unusual week with the Peterhead game a later kick off due to TV and then we are back in action on Friday night, so it will be a bit different but we are looking forward to getting back to league business and hope to kick on.”
