We are back on the road tomorrow when we head to Ochilview to take on Stenhousemuir in league one.
Both sides have made a competitive start to the division and have six points from their opening three fixtures. We sit second in the table, two places ahead of tomorrow’s host thanks to a better goal-difference. Confidence should be high in both teams after wins last weekend, while we were four-nil winners over Peterhead at home, Stenhousemuir picked up a fine two-one win away at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Matches were tight last season, after a goal-less draw at Ochilview in the first meeting, we won 2-1 at home in December before losing by the same score-line away in February. We claimed the three points with a 2-0 victory in the final meeting at Palmerston in April.
Ahead of the game, Manager Peter Murphy said “Stenhousemuir are a well-organized and efficient side who did well last year, they picked up a good win last week so we know it is going to be tough. It has been good for us this week, as we have had a full week to recover. We set standards again against Peterhead but the challenge is to maintain that. We are up against a good part-time side who will raise their game so we can’t let our levels drop.”
