Player Update

There are a handful of movements in the first team and reserve squads to catch up on over the last couple of hectic weeks activity.

We can confirm that Ewan Bange has returned to Blackpool following the completion of his loan spell. His loan ended as scheduled on 8th January. He was an unused substitute against Alloa the day before. He made 1 start and 5 sub appearances during his spell, scoring against Edinburgh in the 4-1 home league win. We would like to wish Ewan the best of luck for the rest of his career and again thank both Blackpool and Stephen Dobbie for their assistance.

Also heading outwards was goalkeeper Max Currie, who signed for East Kilbride last weekend. Max, who was intending to go part-time at the end of the season anyway, made 24 appearance for the first team and won both penalty shoot outs he was involved in, leaving us with a clean sheet and a victory over Kelty Hearts on penalties in the SPFL Trust Trophy.

As we know goalkeeper Kevin Dabrowski joined for the rest of the season on loan from Hibernian, whilst his club-mate Jack Brydon, who had been on loan to Edinburgh, signed a 2.5 year contract. Both made their debuts against Montrose last weekend.

Another who is finally in the door officially is goalkeeper Gordon Botterill. 25 year old Gordon has been with us since early December and many will have seen him take part in pre-match warm ups since then. Gordon, who was born in Germany but lives in Switzerland, has a British passport through his father. He has been at University in the USA for the last 5 years playing in the NCAA system rather than within FIFA. Due to FIFA rules he was unable to sign for us until January and there was then a significant delay in getting international clearance for him. We would like to thank the SFA Registrations Department for their assistance in eventually sorting this out. Gordon has joined on a short term basis for now and Marvin Bartley will be able to have a look at him in a competitive environment.

Goalkeeper Sam Henderson, who did us a favour by joining up in December to cover the goalkeeper position from the bench, has now joined Mid Annandale on loan for the rest of the season and we would like to again thank him for his assistance and wish him all the best for the rest of the season at Mids.

Finally, over the last couple of weeks a number of our young reserves have either extended or taken new loans to Lowland, West and South Scotland clubs. Kane Paton, Cammy Shaw and Konar Pietsch extended their loans at St Cuthbert Wanderers, whilst Andy Oram extended his at Lochar Thistle and Declan Rogerson extended his at Threave Rovers. Charlie Watson also joined Mid Annandale whilst Peter Mendy has linked up with Eddie Warwick at Dalbeattie Star. .
