Lee's Back Too!

It's a double return at training in Hamilton this morning as also putting pen to paper on a new one year contract was Lee Connelly. An infectious personality on and off the pitch, Lee is a popular figure with the Doonhamer supporters and scored some spectacular goals last season. The attacker, who turns 23 in October, made 40 appearances last season, scoring 9 goals, and his absence through injury for a month or so when Wullie Gibson first took over was a big blow.

Wullie Gibson said, "It was a good day yesterday when we managed to get both Easty and Lee back in the fold. The wee man is great in the dressing room and the sort of player who is really important for a squad. We all know what he has in his locker on the pitch. He can produce a moment of magic out of nothing and that sort of invention will be vital next season."

Lee Connelly said, "I'm pleased we've been able to get a new contract agreed. Last year was the first time in my career I'd had an extended run of games and I feel I had a good season personally but it's a team game and ultimately it ended in failure for the club. We need to get the club back up a level and I believe I can help do that. I'm looking forward to meeting the new guys this morning and getting started."
