Reserves Beat Lochar

Wullie Gibson's young reserve squad had their latest friendly at Palmerston last night when Lochar Thistle provided the opposition. Queens began brightly and created a few chances early on. Having started last week's game against Abbey Vale slowly and falling behind early, it was a role reversal this week as Queens burst into a two goal lead. Dom McMahon opened the scoring from a Nish cross before Nathan Naylor produced a neat finish to make it 2-0 following some fine build up play.

Despite an encouraging first half, Queens began the second half poorly and quickly conceded the two goal advantage, with Commercial Manager Daniel Armstrong, playing on the wing for Lochar Thistle, scorer of one of their two goals. With such a young side the heads could have gone down but credit to the boys, they soon restored their lead and went on to run out comfortable winners. Dom mcMahon grabbed his second goal with a well taken shot then turned provider for Ryan Muir with a great cross. Finally Nathan Naylor grabbed his own second from a fine Lewis Gibson cross. Final score - QoS Reserves 5 - 2 Lochar Thistle
