Festive Cheer

As you may be aware in the lead up to the Festive Season, Queens as a club were out and about taking part in various events throughout the community to bring a bit of festive cheer.

Our annual Christmas shopping evening with the players kicked things off, before we took part in the Scottish Professional Football Leagues, Festive Friends initiative.  Residents of Charnwood Lodge came along to the Queen of the South Arena for a Christmas Lunch, a wee bit of dancing  and a gift.

The Under 20s squad popped into the Salvation Army in Dumfries to help distribute food and also held a bag collection for the local community. And just before Christmas they dropped into Acorn House for a visit there.

As well as the Christmas shopping evening, coaching and fun competition, the first team also paid a visit to the Kids ward at the new Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.

A selection of photographs from the events have been posted onto our Google+ account.  Here are the links:-
