The Week Ahead

It’s another busy week ahead at Palmerston.

On MONDAY (17th April), the organising committee for Derek Lyle’s Testimonial have a meeting to discuss further plans for the opening event; a legends match between Queens and Rangers on Sunday 25th June.

Please note there will be no Walking Football on Monday due to the bank holiday.

 

On TUESDAY (18th April), as the schools return from the Easter break, the Community team are starting their Breakfast Club at 8am.  The media have been invited to the launch at Lochside Children’s Services.

The school visits are also back this week, starting with Nethermill from 1300 – 1500.

The youth sides and ladies will also be holding their usual training sessions.

And it’s MATCH DAY for the Under 20’s – they have a South Challenge Cup semi-final tie at home to MID ANNANDALE.  Kick off at Palmerston is 7.30pm.

 

On WEDNESDAY (19th April), the newly launched Breakfast Club continues from 8am.  That’s followed by two school visits, Amisfield from 1100 – 1215 and Lincluden from 1300 – 1430. 

The Wednesday Clubs return from their break, pre-school kids are in from 1530 – 1615 with the primary school kids club taking place from 1600 – 1730.

 

On THURSDAY (20th April), Breakfast Club kick starts the day from 8am at Lochside Children’s Services.  And it’s Lochside who have the school visit between 1300 -1400.

Thursday is also the deadline for points to be added to the agenda for the next supporters meeting being organised by supporter’s liaison officer, Christine Findlater.  The meeting takes place on Monday but anyone wishing to have points raised should email [email protected] by the end of today.

The youth sides and ladies teams are back in training ahead of their weekend games.

 

On FRIDAY (21st April), the final Breakfast Club of the week takes place at 8am. And in the afternoon it’s the turn of the girls to have their chance to play football as the Community team hold the weekly Girls Club.

 

SATURDAY (22nd April) is MATCH DAY for the first team as they have their penultimate home game of the season when DUMBARTON visit Palmerston.  The game which kicks off at 3pm will be sponsored by BDS Group with Solway Fuels the Gold Ball sponsors.

In the build up to the game, the Community team will be holding their Saturday Club for kids from 1230.  For £10 kids have the chance to be coached by the community team in the Arena before they have lunch and head to the game.

It’s also match day for the girl’s sides when The Devils v Uppers, The Rapids host Millenium and Doonhamers take on Rutherglen.  All three games are taking place at Greystone’s 3G surface and kick off at 10am.

 

On SUNDAY (23rd April) – it’s MATCH DAY for the ladies side who are away to STRANRAER and for the Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 teams who all face QUEENS PARK.  The 13s are at home – kick of 1200 with the 15s and 17s both away.

The facilities within the Arena and KGV are available to book and don’t forget the Club shop and the Arena café are open throughout the week.

Also the Queens lottery continues with the chance to win £50 or £25 from Monday to Friday, £500 on a Saturday and of course for those in the deluxe draw the monthly chance to win £1000 (£3000 at Christmas or a new car at the end of the season) – details of how to enter are online.

And the club are currently taking entries for the annual shirt sponsorship draw which takes place at the end of April.  Companies or individuals are invited to take part in the special 21st anniversary draw.
