Minute's Silence in Respect of the Lockerbie Disaster

Tomorrow marks the 25th Anniversary of the Lockerbie Disaster. 270 people, including 11 local residents, died when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over the town of Lockerbie on the evening of 21st December 1988.

A benefit match in aid of the Lockerbie Disaster Appeal between a Queen of the South team and a Manchester United side was staged in March 1989 and attended by over 5,000 supporters (United won 6-3).

On this special Anniversary a Remembrance Service is being held in Lockerbie on Saturday and Queen of the South Football Club wish to pay our respects to the victims with a Minute`s Silence ahead of tomorrow`s SPFL Championship fixture against Livingston. We would respectfully request that supporters try as far as possible to be in the ground ahead of the Minute`s Silence.
