The big striker (27) started his professional career at Ibrox before moving on to Clyde, Millwall, St Mirren and latterly Stirling Albion.

Said the manager, "He`s a proven goal getter and has been training with us now for a good few weeks. He`s impressed me in training and works hard, so I`m happy to get him `on board`.

"He`ll be in the squad to face Ayr at Somerset Park on Saturday and it`s a game I want to win.

"It`s what we`ve all been working for those past few weeks and we`re now ready and set for action.

"Big Brian Reid will be every bit as keen as we are to win through to the next round so I`m expecting a tight encounter
