Match Reaction

A goal who we thought came from our leading scorer Colin McMenamin on the stroke of full time gave Queens a 1-0 victory over Raith Rovers at Starks Park this afternoon.

However, there were somewhat of a question mark as to who actually got the final touch but Colin sportingly credited it to young Steven Degnan.

It was our second 1-0 win against them up there this season and the win saw us move back into fourth slot again on the 46 point mark.

It was our first win in eight games so it was no wonder that our travelling fans (many of them in fancy dress) were beaming like clowns as they left the ground.

Said Kenny Brannigan afterwards, "That winning goal came right on the final whistle so they had no time to recover. We`ve been a bit of a `bogey` for them at Starks Park this season but it was a fantastic finale for our fans.

"It was a real carnival atmosphere with a lot of them all dressed up, so it was good to give them all a `lift` after a poor run of results".
