Queen of the South are delighted to confirm the permanent appointment of James Fowler as manager.
James who joined the club during the summer as player-coach has been in temporary charge of the squad following the departure of Jim McIntyre to Ross County.
Until his arrival at Palmerston, Fowler spent all but a few weeks of his career with Kilmarnock, graduating from the youth set-up to the first team, where he holds the record for most games played, 401 appearances, in the former Scottish Premier League.
The midfielder has a Scotland B cap and has also been capped by Scotland Under 21s.
After a hectic few weeks the new manager says he’s really happy to get the deal done adding “I felt when I was given the opportunity that I had to work towards that and I feel that I’ve done that with the preparations and stuff. So not too much will change.”
