We welcomed Ayr United to Palmerston this evening in the CAS league. 

The visitors took the lead after eleven minutes but Kylan Hunter levelled with just under half an hour played.  Ayr restored their advantage seven minutes before the break to give them a two-one lead at the interval.

Thirteen minutes after the restart the Honest Men added a third. But Queens fought back and Jordan Allan reduced the deficit with twenty minutes to go only for  Ayr to score again and round off the scoring four minutes from time to claim the win.

Coach Eddie Warwick said “We are disappointed with the cheap goals that we gave away. We seem to be making basic errors at the moment and getting punished for them.   We can’t fault the effort and application of the players but we are shooting ourselves in the foot far too often and we need to learn from the mistakes.”
