We are currently seeking a goalkeeping coach to join the Management team.
The job is to develop and deliver high-quality training sessions for goalkeepers in line with the club’s playing philosophy and development plan. The goalkeeping coach will report to the Head Coach / Technical Director and work closely with the coaching staff to ensure all goalkeepers are physically, tactically, and mentally prepared for competition.
This is a part-time position based between Palmerston Park and Hamilton Palace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and review goalkeeper training sessions
- Provide technical and tactical coaching specific to the goalkeeping role.
- Develop individualized training programs to meet each goalkeeper’s development needs.
- Conduct regular performance analysis and provide feedback through video and data review.
- Collaborate with fitness, medical, and analysis departments to monitor player workload and readiness.
- Attend matches to observe and coach goalkeepers, offering real-time and post-match feedback.
- Support talent identification and scouting for goalkeeping positions.
- Maintain records of player progress and performance reports.
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare of all players under your supervision.
Essential Requirements:
- UEFA B Goalkeeping Licence (minimum) or equivalent.
- Proven coaching experience, preferably in a professional or semi-professional setting.
- Strong understanding of goalkeeper-specific training methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Up-to-date safeguarding and first aid certifications.
Desirable Requirements:
- UEFA A or Pro Goalkeeping Licence.
- Experience working in an elite academy or professional club environment.
- Knowledge of performance analysis tools (e.g., HUDL)
- Background in sports science, psychology, or performance coaching.
- Experience with youth development models and long-term athlete development plans.
