Match Preview v Stirling Albion (H) - 2nd March 2024

We revert back to a 3pm kick off this week as we welcome Stirling Albion to Palmerston for our latest league one fixture.

The Binos moved a point ahead of us during the week after a goal-less draw against Hamilton Accies.

Our first game against Darren Young’s side came back in October when Jordan McGregor scored the only goal of the game to secure them three points at Palmerston. While in terrible conditions at Forthbank in December, Paul McKay equalised in the second half to cancel out Dale Carrick’s first half opener in a 1-1 draw.

Ahead of the game tomorrow, Manager Mavin Bartley said “Last week’s game against Montrose was mind blowing. We held a half time lead but completely shot ourselves in the foot in the second half. The three goals we conceded were entirely of our own making and as a team we have to do a lot better. When you score two goals, especially at home, you should not be losing the game.

This week we welcome Stirling Albion a side who are in a similar position to ourselves. It will be two teams going out to secure the win. For us we want to make out home form better, we know we can hurt teams when we are on it, so that’s what we need”.
