Signing on loan until the end of the season is 20-year-old Max Kilsby.

The left sided defender first joined Newcastle United as an 8-year-old where he spent 7 years in their youth system before moving to Carlisle United’s Academy. On completing a two-year scholarship programme, he signed a professional contract with the Cumbrian side but was loaned out to Annan. He became a regular in their promotion winning season and has been a mainstay in their side during another loan spell during the first half of this campaign. He has played 60 games for the Galabank side and has scored eight goals, including a double in the play-off final against a Clyde.

Securing the signing Manager Bartley said “Max is young but is highly rated and has been very impressive at both ends of the park during his time at Annan and played a huge part in them achieving promotion. He is predominately a defender but can play in various different positions which is a real benefit to us. Carlisle sent him out on loan to help with his development and have been delighted with his progress. I am looking forward to working with him and hope we can continue building his career in a full-time environment”.

Max has been allocated squad number 4.
