We can confirm that Joel Mumbongo has joined the club. The 25-year-old striker comes in on loan until the end of the season from Hamilton Accies.

Joel is a former Swedish National youth player who has had spells with Burnley and Tranmere.

Manager, Marvin Bartley said “We have been looking to add another forward and with Jake heading out on loan it was essential that we brought someone else in. Joel is a player I’ve been aware of for a while since he broke onto the scene at Burnley in the Premier league. He was someone I tried to bring to the club in the summer but ended up being financially out of our reach, but I’m delighted to have now added him. I want to thank Gerry Strain for his help in making this possible. I’m really looking forward to working with Joel, tapping into his undoubted quality, and helping him find his way back to his best form.”
