Efe Extends His Stay

We are pleased to confirm the contract extension of Efe Ambrose. The defender who joined the club in the summer on a short-term deal has now signed on until the end of the season.

The 35-year-old Nigerian has become a mainstay in the heart of defence since his arrival and popped up to score the winner in our cup tie away at Partick Thistle.

Manager, Marvin Bartley said “I’m delighted that we now have Efe until the end of the season. He brings experience to the side, not only on the park but off it too. We are a young squad and to have him in and around the place talking to the other players is fantastic. He has shown the quality and composure he has in games and just last week his performance against Annan was exactly what we need. He has also become a fans favourite so I’m sure they’ll be delighted as I am that he is staying with us.”

Efe himself said “I am enjoying my time at Queens so I’m happy to extend my stay. I look forward to the second half of the season and hopefully we can bring success.”
