New ticket partners

Going digital (and still keeping the good old paper tickets)

We are delighted to announce that Queen of the South Football Club has partnered up with the Scandinavian ticketing platform TicketCo and will be offering digital tickets and season tickets for the upcoming season.

“This will be a huge step forward for the fans, and also for the club,” said Community & Commercial Manager at QOS, Daniel Armstrong. “Offering digital tickets means that our fans no longer have to queue up for their tickets, but can simply purchase them through their phones and then use their phones as their ticket on matchday.”

“For us as a club it has several big advantages. We will save a lot of time and work, both in connection to the actual ticket sales, and also with respect to cash handling. That time can now be better spent on marketing activities instead, which hopefully will increase the club profile and even more ticket sales,” added Daniel.

For those who prefer good old paper tickets, he assures them that they are still to be available. Dan states, “We have been selling tickets at Palmerston Park for a decade or so now, and we have no intention of going fully digital as long as there are fans who prefer to do it the old way. For those people, the benefit of this digital transformation will be that the queues at the ticket office now will be significantly reduced. So this is a win win for everyone.”

TicketCo was awarded Best Sales Technology at the Event Tech Awards in London in 2021, and is a strong growing ticketing company with its headquarters in Norway and thousands of clients across Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Ireland. The company has specialised in sports, and has Kilmarnock FC as its most prominent Scottish customer. Other Scottish clients include Cove Rangers FC, Clyde FC and Open Goal Broomhill FC, to mention a few.

“We are thrilled to include Queen of the South in our portfolio, and we really look forward to the upcoming season. We hope the fans will enjoy our ticketing solution, which has been made with simplicity and safety in mind,” said Key Account Manager at TicketCo, Alex Eagle.

All prices again for season 2022-23 will  be frozen. Renewals will be available later this week with general sale next week. With more details to follow.
