Match Preview v Dunfermline (A) - 29th April 2022

Apr 28 2022 11:00

We round off the season tomorrow (Fri) with a trip to Dunfermline. We had hoped that we would still be in the mix going into the game, but it wasn’t to be. The hosts on the other hand are still in a tussle with Ayr United to avoid the relegation play-off place.

It’s one win apiece and a draw in the three games between the sides so far. Lee Connelly scored the only goal of the game to give us a win in October, while we shared six goals on our last visit to East End Park in a 3-3 draw. In January it was the turn of The Pars to claim the victory, Graham Dorrans and Dan Pybus earning them a 2-0 win.

Ahead of this game, Manager Wullie Gibson said “Although our fate was sealed last weekend, we still have something to play for. We are all playing for our futures and we owe it to the fans to keep going to the very end. They have backed us all season and will again travel so we have to go out and give it our best efforts. We are all gutted the way things have turned out and had at least hoped we would still be in with a chance but it wasn’t to be, so we need to dust ourselves down and go for the win so that we at least end the season on a positive note”.
