Congratulations to striker Stephen Dobbie who has been shortlisted for the Dumfries and Galloway Life Sports Person Award for 2019.

Stephen is up against three teenagers from the region for the award. 

The other hopefuls are:-

Sailor, Ben Ibbotson of Castle Douglas who is a member of the Scottish and British Youth team based at Largs.

Megan Mitchell, a 16 year old Ice Hockey player from Dumfries who has represented Team GB.

And 14 year old, Orla Montgomery of Castle Douglas who not only plays football for Hamilton Accies U19 performance side but captains the Western Warriors cricket side.

The winner will be announced at the Awards Dinner held at the Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries next month.
