There may be some downtime for the first team just now as they recharge their batteries but the youth teams are still going with their final games this weekend.
The under 16s round off their matches with a home fixture against Montrose at Palmerston on Sunday, the game kicks off at noon.
While the Under 18s face Elgin City at Kinross. As the 18s prepare for their game, first team Assistant Manager Colin McMenamin along with Harry McLinden and Niall Rogerson put them through their paces at training this evening.
Having come through the club’s academy system themselves, Harry and Niall were able to offer some words of wisdom on what it takes to be a professional player and how hard work and putting in the effort has its rewards.
As mentioned in Director Jim McLinden’s update earlier today, next season is an important one for the Academy with the Scottish Football League changing the format and operation an Under 17 and Under 19 system with sides competing in a new Under 19 league from next season.
Thanks to Colin, Harry and Niall for an enjoyable training session.
