Hamilton Match Information

Earlier this month the Scottish Government and footballing authorities provided new guidance for professional football clubs who are organising matches with spectators in attendance.

The new guidelines impacts on our matches at Palmerston.

Going forward, starting with our next home game against Hamilton Accies. The following changes will take place:-

Staggered entry and exit times have been removed.  Therefore we will no longer be issuing an email with entry time for fans attending. However, we are encouraged fans to arrive at the ground earlier than usual, to guarantee safe entry to the stadium.

All catering facilities can now fully reopen.

The 2m social distancing requirement amongst supporters has been removed.

There will be no longer be a need for you to purchase your ticket in advance online. However, to minimise contact on the day and to avoid long queues we would urge fans to purchase their tickets in advance if possible this availble from the club shop during the week.

Both Home and Away fans will have cash and card options to purchase tickets on the day. This located at the usual ticket offices inside the arena, and one either end of the BDS Stand. Away fans should go to the ticketing office near the away end which is located at the BDS stand in which stewards can guide you.

A requirement to gather people’s details for entry to the stadium is no longer in place. But in the interest of safety, we would ask those attending our home matches to use the NHS QR Codes around the ground to sign in for track and trace.

Face masks are no longer mandatory in open space . We would like to remind supporters that it is still a legal requirement for people to wear face masks while indoors. Therefore those opting not to wear a mask while in the open area of the ground should be aware that they are still required to wear a mask while using the toilets, queuing for them, queuing for the catering stalls, or while in the concourse.

There is still a 2m social distance requirement for players, coaching staff and match officials. Which impacts on some areas of the ground as we need to maintain ‘Red Zones.’ These are:

  • Half of section 5 and the whole of section 6 in the BDS Stand.
  • The Alpha Solway Stand (The main stand).

We currently have additional dugouts on order. Once they arrive and are installed we will be in a position to move players and coaching/medical staff from the Alpha Solway stand back down to the technical area, pitch-side which will give us the option to return supporters into the area they currently occupy within the main stand. Unfortunately, they will not be here in time for the visit of Hamilton so the main stand will still be unavailable for fans.

We appreciate supporters who are season ticket holders for the area would like to return to their “usual” seats. Although we are not in a position to make that happen for the Accies match, we hope to resolve the issue sooner rather than later.

Finally, as always the club are appreciative of all our fans and sponsors, and are very grateful to those who have stood by us and continued to support us during what has been a very difficult time. Your patience and understanding is much appreciated.
