End of Season Board Update

As the Championship season has now drawn to a close and the Centenary season is just around the corner we thought we would give a few thoughts.

We had a great finish to the season with three wins which allowed us to jump ahead of Morton. Looking back over the season, it was plain to see that our home form was just not good enough. We had too many home draws where we failed to get the win over the line .For the fans who travelled to the away games,  they were well rewarded this year with some great performances.

However, we now look forward to the new Centenary season with excitement and the Management Team are busy looking to recruit players. They managed to make a couple of early signings and are working on a couple of additions just now.

The Season Tickets are now on sale and we hope that we can exceed last year’s sales with it being the Centenary season. This would give the club a boost financially  and a backing on the terraces .We know that crowds dipped towards the end of the season and we hope that all the supporters out there manage to persuade their friends and families to come along and support the Super South.

The Championship sees a 40% change in personnel which helps shake the league up and provides some new away days for the fans. Congratulations to St.Mirren and Livingston for their great seasons. We now have four long trips up North but we also have a south west tussle with one of our previous manager's with Ayr coming up.

Danny and the girls are busy in the office just now  with season tickets and organising soccer camps , so there is always something happening around the club.

We have an up to date print of the Centenary shirt in the Club Shop and you can have fun finding your name. The shirts themselves are due to go on sale towards the end of June.

There has been a Centenary committee set up to help maximise events and merchandise and we hope it is fruitful.

The pitch passed it’s Fifa 2 star test last week so is good to go for the next season and I hope you will agree that it was playing as well as ever in the last few games with Kevin working on it every day.

We continue to look at ways of maximising off the field income whether it be sponsorship or expanding the business side.

Thank you very much to the staff and supporters for their input in the 2017/18 season and a big thank you to all the volunteers .There is a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes running a football club whether it's youth coaches, media, administration or SLO's , the  club could not run without  this invaluable help and it is very much appreciated.

See you next season
Up the South !
