Manager Agrees Contract Extension

Queen of the South Board of Directors are delighted to announce that manager James Fowler has signed a contract extension taking him through to the end of next season.

The Board are very happy with the job James has done since taking over from Jim McIntyre last September, keeping us in the hunt for the playoffs and reaching the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup.

Tying up James on an extended contract now gives the club stability over the summer and into next season as he builds his own squad for whichever division we will be playing in.

The Manager himself is delighted to extend his stay, he says "I'm really happy to sign again, it's been an enjoyable year although very difficult and hard work but it's one I've enjoyed and I'm thankful to the Chairman and the rest of the Board for the opportunity".

"We're still pushing for the top four so if we can now get players sorted there is no excuses of distractions or things going on elsewhere, so I'm glad to get it done, we'll get on with sorting out players now and we'll stay focused for the top four finish. As well as looking forward to next year".

"I'm loving the job it's hard work, I still find leaving players out hard and I don't know if that gets easier, but I've had great support from a great bunch of players and the Board and we've got a great group of supporters who back the team every week so it's good to have that as well.
