Reserve and Youth Round up

A busy week this week with 4 games played across the age groups.

Starting on Sunday both the u16 and u18 sides travelled up to Kinross to face Elgin. Both sides running out comfortable victors with the u16's winning 8-1 and the u18's 7-2. Both teams displayed clinical finishing and controlled the game from the first whistle which was pleasing to see in the sides third CAS fixture of the season.

The reserves also played this week in the 'reserve cup' in which they ran out 3-1 winners over Hamilton Academical. Goals from Lee Connelly, Dom Mcmahon and Ross Irving.

Starting xi- Cowie,Muir,Burns, Quitongo, Gibson, McKechnie,Cochrane, Irving,Bange, Connelly, McMahon. Bench- Pietcsh, Oram, Naylor, Mendy, Watson, Paton

U18's vs Carlisle United- The u18's then played again on Tuesday evening against a well organised Carlisle side, the visitors ran away to a 2 goal lead as they started the brighter of the two teams. Queens, after a sloppy start managed to get a foothold in the game and pulled a goal back just before half-time. Queens then grabbed an equaliser with a stunning Watson strike. With neither team able to grab a winner, the match finished 2-2. The game provided a couple of learning curves for the young team and demonstrated the desire to get back in the game.

Both the u18's and u16's play this Sunday vs Alloa away from home.

A mix of u18's and reserves are also playing this evening at Palmerston vs Lochar Thistle with a 7.30pm Kick off entry free of charge.
