RESPONSE FROM LAST YEAR'S WINNERS

Whilst the new kit for next season has now been revealed, it remains to be seen which company logo shall be on it, and with this in mind, the club this week launched the promotion of the annual Shirt Sponsorship Draw for season 2010/11.

And the club already have their first two entrants for the draw, which will take place at Palmerston on Thursday 20th May at 7.30pm. Last season's winners, Peter C Haining, have already lodged their entry for both their Bathroom and Kitchen divisions with the club's Commercial Manager, Mark McMinn.

Peter Haining and Keith Ball both spoke of their pride at being shirt sponsors last season, and commented on the amount of publicity their success in the draw has brought to the company. Keith remarked "my ties with the club obviously go back a long way as my father played for Queens for so many years, so I've felt a huge sense of pride at being the Club's shirt sponsor for the season".

Peter added "having attended the draw for several years now, the feeling for both Keith and I when our name was announced was one of euphoria. I was on holiday when the shirt's actually went on sale, but it was a fantastic feeling upon my return to Dumfries, when I saw a family walking towards me and both of the children had replica Queens shirts on with our company logo on the front. I have many friends in Spain, and they sat glued to the internet when our match with Rangers was beamed live, all cheering us on, so there have been many highlights from our season as sponsors".

Queen of the South Commercial Manager Mark McMinn met with Peter and Keith to receive their entries for next seasons' draw, and commented "last season Shirt Draw was my first as Commercial Manager, and it has been a pleasure dealing with Peter and Keith over the past 10 months. We look forward to this season's event, and to working with whichever company is fortunate enough to be successful this season - Peter and Keith have both entered again, so it could even be them.....you have to be in it, to win it!!!"
