With the first team having no game this weekend, and attempts to arrange a friendly with an SPFL side falling through, we are grateful to our friends at Gretna 2008, who also had a free weekend, for agreeing at short notice to host a closed door bounce game tonight which allowed the squad to keep ticking over and let the manager have a look at a couple of trialists.

There was obviously a gulf in level with Queens fielding a first eleven but it was a useful exercise and was competitive for the first hour or so before full time fitness and squad depth told and Queens ran away with it in the last half hour. Lee Connelly and Ally Roy both scored in the first half with Connelly also netting a penalty. Roy grabbed his 2nd before Queens used all 8 subs. Further goals from Nditi, Trialist (2), Soares Junior and McKechnie left Queens running out 9-0 winners.
