Lyndon Dykes

We welcome the news that Lyndon Dykes has completed a move to Queens Park Rangers and can confirm that Queens will now be due a six figure fee as part of the deal.  We always recognised the potential Lyndon had and fully expected him to gain a move at some point, hence the reason we included a sell on clause when we sold him to Livingston.  Obviously the money comes at a much needed time for the club.

Although he is being transferred from Livingston, the deal has the potential of being a new club record for us.  It currently stands at quarter of a million pounds set when Andy Thomson moved from Palmerston to Southend United in 1994.

Lyndon was a big player for us when he was in Dumfries. We are proud that he started his career as youth development player at Palmerston and has gone on to show his worth in the Scottish Premiership in the last year.

Although he moved on he was a keen follower of the club and kept in touch and was always back at the ground or watching games when he could. We have followed his progress closely and we congratulate him on his transfer and will continue to monitor his career now he is playing in the English Championship.  We believe he has the ability to go higher yet and wish him every success.
