Dundee United Match Preview

After two weeks off, we return to Championship business this weekend away at title chasing Dundee United.

We have still to get the better of the Tannadice side this season, with Robbie Neilson's side claiming all the points in our three meetings so far. Nicky Clark's first half penalty what separated the two sides in our last game in February.

With our game against Ayr off due to the weather and then Falkirk postponed for International call-ups, the players weren't idle last weekend as Manager Gary Naysmith arranged a closed doors match against Hearts.

"I wasn't too upset that the game against Ayr was called off but I felt that to go two weeks without playing was too much and we needed to arrange something to keep the players ticking over.

We were without Callum Fordyce and Nicky Low through injury, Lyndon Dykes due to illness and Iain Wilson and Barry Maguire who are away on International duty, but it proved to be a really useful game against a strong Hearts side who over the two halves fielded 14 first team regulars.

It was good as Josh Todd got 60 minutes of competitive football under his belt and Stephen Dobbie got back amongst the goals, scoring both in our two - one victory.

We are getting to the nitty gritty part of the season now so we need to start getting points on board again. With United sitting second hot on the heels of Ross County we know its going to be a tough challenge as they won't be wanting to slip up but if we look at our last game a few weeks ago, we were down to ten men for much of it and I felt that we were the better side during the second half and deserved to take something from the game.

Fraser Aird is unavailable against his parent club and Nicky Low will also miss out although he is getting closer to returning to full training".

Supporters travelling to Tannadice should note that Away Support will be housed in the West Stand ("Shed") and lower tier prices of £20 for Adults and £10 for Concessions (65+, under-18s and FTS with valid matric) apply. Admission mode is cash at the turnstiles.

Kick off on Saturday is 3pm.
