With the new season now underway we thought it would be a good time to reintroduce our weekly update to outline events taking place within the club.

With the schools still on holiday the usual school visit programme and clubs are still taking a break but we will be running our Summer Soccer Camp all week.  It will take place Monday to Friday from 10 am - 3pm at the Queen of the South Arena.

We are also holding our Monday Walking football session for the over 55 group. Again it takes place at the Arena and will last an hour from 10am.  

It's a busy week for the first team, they're on cup business this week as they aim to progress to the next stages of two competitions.  

On Tuesday evening, it's off to Ochilview for our Irn-Bru first round tie against Stenhousemuir.  Kick off 7.30 pm.  While on Saturday we are back at Palmerston as we welcome Premier League side, St Johnstone in the last 16 of the Betfred League Cup. Kick off 3pm.

With it being a home game, the popular Saturday Club for Primary School children will be on at the Arena.  It runs from half past 12 and costs £10 per child (£8 for Junior Blues).  For the price the kids (boys and girls welcome) will receive coaching on one of the Arena pitches, followed by lunch and then they watch the match together as a group in the BDS Digital Stand. Parents can then collect their child after the match. There is no need to pre-book. Just come register at the table beside the pitches ahead of the session starting.

It's also a busy schedule for the youth teams, they'll be training between 6pm and 8pm Tuesday and Thursday this week with games on Sunday.  The Under 15 and Under 16 sides are both at home to Dundee, kick offs are 12 noon and 2pm respectively while the Under 18s have an away game against Elgin City.
