Guid Nychburris Thank Yous

Guid Nychburris took place again yesterday and this is just a massive thank you to everyone who made our float possible. I think you will all agree the QoS World Cup float looked fantastic, with well over 200 children involved in the creation from schools across the region to our young volunteers giving up their Friday night and Saturday to assist. The schools that helped make all the flags are Lochside Primary, Hardgate, Ae, Lockerbie, Penpont, Laurieknowe, Calside and Maxwelltown High. We had generous donations from Fiona Patterson and Galloglas Security, whose financial support helped us buy key equipment. Every volunteer who made it possible by donating their time, Jas P Wilson and TP Niven for the lorry and McBurnie Removals for allowing us to store and dress the lorry in their lock up and Ped Linton for driving the team around the parade. The Queens Trust for donating gifts to hand out and be added to our goody bags. The Hole i' the Wa' for the flags on the side of the lorry. Also the u14 squad who represented the club superbly distributing the goody bags along with Doogie Doonhamer. Finally the SLO Committee who also gave up time volunteering and pulling the whole thing together with the club in what was a great day out in the community!
