50 in 50 To Visit Palmerston

This week we have a team of people visiting the stadium as part of a charity challenge called “50 in 50” which entails visiting 50 professional and semi-professional football clubs over a period of 50 hours from 17-19th May 2018. This will culminate at Hampden Park on the afternoon of the Scottish Cup Final on 19th May 2018 – all to raise funds for 2 mental health charities & help increase awareness around mental health issues in Scotland.

They expect to be at Palmerston around 1pm on Friday 18th May and they would love to you see you there offering your support.

They have chosen the following charities –

SAMH – Scotland’s oldest mental health charity who provide mental health and social care support across Scotland. They are recognised for their programme work in See Me, Respect Me, suicide prevention and sport and physical activity to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

The Chris Mitchell Foundation – Set up after the tragic passing of professional footballer Chris Mitchell. Their vision is to dispel the stigma associated with mental health in Scottish football and for it to be integrated in to health and fitness programmes. They aim to bring to the forefront the need for awareness of mental health and wellbeing within the football industry and to raise awareness on a national scale.

The group would love to see you on their travels – follow them on their social media channels below to track their progress!
