Brechin Match Preview

This weekend we head to Brechin City. It's our last game of the season and the last chance for Darren Dodds team to gain a win in the Championship. We opened our league campaign at home to City when a Derek Lyle double along with goals from John Rankin and Lyndon Dykes gave as a four - one win. It was much closer when we played at Glebe Park in October, it was a one - nil victory with Jason Kerr scoring the only goal of the game and then in January, Stephen Dobbie grabbed a hat-trick in our three - one win.

Although they are already relegated, Queens boss Gary Naysmith isn't taking anything for granted and wants to finish on a high.

"They will be up for it, there is no doubt about that. They don't want to finish the season without a win, so there is no bigger incentive for them. They made it tough for us the last time we were up there and probably deserved a draw that day.

I have watched them a few times, including their recent game against Dundee United and they've been unlucky a few times. Up until United got a goal against them, they were the better side. So we can't let up and think it will be easy.

Our game against Dundee United last weekend, was a pleasing all round performance and a great way to round off our home games. The players deserve a lot of credit for the way they've kept going. It could've been easy for them to switch off once the play-offs were out with our reach but they haven't, they've showed they are professional.

The win last week has given us something to play for in our final game. We want to finish on a high and end the season with three wins, three clean-sheets and hopefully a place higher in the table.

Alan Martin, Dan Carmichael and Ross Fergusson are missing and John Rankin remains doubtful but everyone else is available for selection along with Declan Tremble who has been added to the squad".

Kick off at Glebe Park - 3pm.
