Dunfermline Preview

Due to illness we are unable to bring you the usual full match preview ahead of the Dunfermline game tonight, but here's Manager, Gary Naysmith's thoughts.

"I will always give an honest opinion and although it's never nice to have to admit it, I can't say anything other than the better team won on Saturday. I'm not sure where that performance came from as it wasn't the level that we have come to expect.  We were poor; we were second all over the park and lost the individual battles throughout the afternoon.

As a group we were in on Sunday, we spent time going back through the game trying to find reasons.  Personally, I'm disappointed at the free kick we gave away and then how we defended it, these mistakes have to stop.

Saturday was frustrating for us all, we had a genuine belief going into the game that we could win it, unfortunately instead of closing the gap, they've extended it to 11 points and being a realist I have to say if we play like that again we'll have no chance of making the play-offs.

However, I'm not going to be too harsh on the players as they've been excellent in recent weeks, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and put it down to just being one of those days. We can't afford a repeat performance, and if we do get that then we have a different problem, but as I say I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and put it down to a poor day.

We felt that we didn't give a true account of ourselves against Falkirk, but the beauty of football is that we have the opportunity to put things right quickly, and that’s what it’s about, we can’t let the disappointment linger it’s all about how we bounce back.

We regroup and head into a tough game away at Dunfermline.  They enjoyed a good result on Saturday and will be full of confidence, but we can't worry about them, we need to go out and prove that it was a blip and show what we ourselves are capable of".

Team News - With three games in the space of a week it's a tough ask for players so we will use the squad and will probably look at making a couple of changes within the side.
