We are now able to confirm, as most of us thought at the time, that Derek Lyle was officially credited with both goals last night which takes him to 97 goals for Queen of the South over four separate spells. Some membersof the media had queried whether it may have been an own goal but video footage shows it to have been Del's goal and the match referee's report confirmed he awarded both goals to Lyle.

Derek is now the 5th highest scorer in club history, only one behind Jocky Dempster who scored 98 for Queens. He will have to go some to catch Andy Thomson's 114 total for 3rd place though! His 295 appearances in total now sees him 21st in the all time list, just 2 behind Tommy Bryce so he will surely move into the top 20 shortly.
