As part of continued work on the Dumfries by-pass, A75, the section between the Edinburgh Road, A701, and the Glasgow Road, A76, will be completely closed again this Saturday when Morton visit Palmerston.

The A701 then A75 would be the main route for Morton fans travelling to the game by car or bus. Traffic will be diverted through the centre of town and we've seen in recent weekends that this can cause significant congestion and delays.

We'd ask that any fans who would normally travel this route, particular the Morton fans, leave plenty of additional time to get to the game on Saturday. Anyone travelling from the Glasgow area, might want to consider coming via Kilmarnock and into Dumfries on the A76, which will avoid the road closure
