Morton v Queen of the South Match Arrangements

Morton have now announced arrangements for tomorrow night`s rearranged league match. Their statement is duplicated below:

Tomorrow (Wednesday) evening, we welcome Queen of the South back to Cappielow for our rescheduled SPFL fixture.

Following the tragic events of Saturday, when we lost long-time supporter Andrew Kemp following a heart attack, the Club announced that admission to the rescheduled date would be free of charge as a result of the abandoned match.

We appreciate that there may be some supporters who attend tomorrow evening who were not at the original fixture. With this in mind, there will be the opportunity to make a donation in lieu of the normal admission price at the turnstiles inside the ground.

Following consultation with the family, all funds raised from donations on the night will go towards St Andrews First Aid (Inverclyde Group) who cared for Mr Kemp on Saturday. St Andrews First Aid provide vital first aid provision at all of our home matches, but in addition they also provide important medical care at concerts, gala days and numerous community events throughout Inverclyde on a voluntary basis.

With this in mind, donations will also be welcomed from supporters who attended the match on Saturday but would like to show their appreciation for this valuable service.

Tomorrow evening, the turnstiles will open at 6.30pm. We would ask that all children under the age of 12 years are accompanied by an adult.

Queen of the South supporters should access the ground via the Main Stand turnstiles in Sinclair Street, but will be seated within their usual section of the Main Stand.

Prior to kick off at 7.30pm, and as agreed with the family of Mr Kemp, there will be a minutes applause as a mark of respect.

We hope you are able to join us.
