Ground Capacity and Rangers Sales Update

We are delighted to confirm that a new increased ground capacity has been agreed with Dumfries and Galloway Council following inspections in the last week and a new Safety Certificate will be in place prior to the Rangers match with the new capacity.

The Terregles Street terracing will be reopened with a capacity of 898 for the time being whilst new emergency exits and yellow marked escape routes have enabled the home terrace capacity to also be increased, despite the loss of the small terrace to the right of the Gates Power Stand to form the new warm up area of the pitch.

The new ground capacity will be 7,620.

Work has also begun on replacing the old windows on both ends of the Gates Power Stand which were near impossible to see through. New replacement clear perspex should be in place this week, minimising the number of seats in the stand with a restricted view.

Meantime, the sale of tickets for the Rangers match has continued briskly today. The Gates Power Stand is now sold out but with the new increased capacity in mind there remain plenty of terracing tickets available. The club office will be open for sales from 10am to 2pm all week. There will probably be tickets for sale after the Raith Rovers match on Saturday (NOT before it as the admin staff have too much other work to do in running the actual match) and we will probably organise some time on Sunday for sales also but this will only be confirmed once we see how sales go through the week.
