Honours Even

In a `battle royal` Queens and Queen`s Park fought out a 2-2 draw in a `closed door` friendly at Largs last night.

Said manager Gus MacPherson, "It was a good work-out and we came back from two down to get a draw. Queen`s Park proved good opposition, as we knew they would, and it was a worthwhile exercise.

"We`ve now agreed terms with Scott McLaughlin, an experienced defender, and he`ll be signing this afternoon.

"He`s been with Hamilton, Livingston, Morton, Airdrie United and most recently Ayr United, so that`s ups our squad to double figures now.

"We still have quite a lot of players training with us, including some impressive youngsters. But it`s now time to anaylise them all and and decide who we need for the squad.

"Both Andy and myself had an enjoyable night at the Forum on Wednesday night. It was nice to meet up face to face with the Queen`s fans and introduce ourselves.

"We got a lot of positive feedback and I felt the supporters were happy with what they heard."
